Driving around Tababela and Pifo

I wanted to include some pictures of the area we are in. Some (most) were taken from the van as we drove so might be a bit blurry.

Compassion International Kids

We got to meet several kids from the Compassion International program here. They come to Buen Pastor Church 3 days a week for a free lunch, help with homework, and a healthy dose of Christ's love. They are the poorest of the poor. Pastor Ramiro reminded them that we will give them presents, but all gifts are small compared to the grace and love God gives us.

Day 2...

Got all the walls up today. Lots of hard work but always fun. This area specializes in brick making so all the materials are local. 

Day 1...

Laying concrete foundation. This is the end of a building where the high school classes meet. No concrete mixers or machines here. Just sand, dry concrete, gravel, shovels and us!
